Dr. Austin Boehm, DMD
Dr. Austin Boehm is a dentist anesthesiologist at Regional Implant Centers. He provides deep sedation and general anesthesia so patients can have implant surgery safely and comfortably.
He graduated summa cum laude from the University of New England with a degree in medical sciences and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, with rotations in internal medicine, emergency medicine and anesthesia.
Anesthesia became his focus during that residency. He went on to complete a postdoctoral anesthesiology residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he managed more than 1,900 anesthetic cases across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. The dental part of his training centered on deep sedation and general anesthesia for outpatient dental procedures. He also trained extensively in caring for adults, children and patients with special needs.
Dr. Boehm is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and he is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Outside the office, he follows the latest in science and technology, especially biomedical research. He has trained in martial arts for more than 20 years and still practices. He takes fitness and nutrition seriously, though he rarely turns down a good bowl of pho or ramen. When he isn't reading, biking, cooking or catching up on his favorite shows, he's often skydiving. Dr. Boehm works full time at Regional Implant Centers and lives in Houston.
